Integrando a programação do FIG Festival Internacional de Gigantes em Pinhal Novo, foi entre 17 de Abril e 16 de Junho que a PIA implementou o projeto de formação GIGANTES DAS FORMAS ANIMADAS.
Um Workshop de Construção de Cabeçudos, que parte da cultura popular, como portador de sentido de continuidade, de união entre o presente e a origem dos tempos e fundamentalmente do imaginário, cruzando-a com técnicas de construção mais hodiernas, recorrendo a matérias-primas diversas, propondo-se igualmente a uma reflexão sobre o papel desempenhado por esta expressão artística na construção do discurso cultural contemporâneo, com o intuito de deixar o seu contributo para uma geração vindoura de construtores destas formas animadas.
Ao longo de 8 semanas, e com a direção de Pedro Leal, esta oficina foi desenvolvida junto da comunidade local, com vista a criação de um conjunto de CABEÇUDOS, os quais participaram posteriormente no Desfile de Gigantes do FIG Festival Internacional de Gigantes.
Acima partilhamos as memórias fotográficas desta formação, com alguns dos muitos expressivos Cabeçudos criados, de um total de 10, felicitando todos os participantes envolvidos, pela sua dedicação e talento! Foi um verdadeiro prazer poder acompanhar-vos na criação destas formas animadas!

As part of the programming of the FIG International Festival of Giants in Pinhal Novo, it was between April 17th and June 16th that PIA implemented the training project GIANTS OF THE ANIMATED FORMS.
A Bigheads Construction Workshop, built and inspired by the popular culture, as a bearer of a sense of continuity, of union between the present and the origin of times and fundamentally of the imaginary, crossing it with more modern construction techniques, using different raw materials, also proposing a reflection on the role played by this artistic expression in the construction of contemporary cultural discourse, with the aim of leaving its contribution to a coming generation of builders of these animated forms.
Over the course of 8 weeks, and under the direction of Pedro Leal, this workshop was developed with the local community, with a view to creating a group of CABEÇUDOS (Bigheads), who later participated in the Parade of Giants at the FIG International Festival of Giants.
Above we share the photographic memories of this workshop, with some of the many expressive Bigheads created, out of a total of 10, congratulating all the participants involved, for their dedication and talent! It was a real pleasure to be able to accompany you in creating these animated shapes!
