CARICATURE invadiu e viveu as ruas de Aveiro, marcando o regresso da Companhia PIA à famosa “Veneza portuguesa”, acolhida nos passados dias 19 e 20 de Julho na 10a edição do Festival dos Canais.
Acima o registo fotográfico das apresentações realizadas pelo muito especial olhar do fotógrafo João Roldão, fotográ, que nos presenteou igualmente com as suas palavras:
"Houve um momento, este julho, em que as ruas de Aveiro deixaram de ser apenas caminhos e tornaram-se pele. Com CARICATURE, a @companhiapia regressou à cidade com um cortejo que é teatro e espelho, riso e crítica, corpo e metáfora. Uma performance onde a caricatura não exagera. Revela. Entre acrobacias e gestos grotescos, o público foi arrastado com espanto e ironia pelas veias do centro histórico. Cada esquina era uma moldura. Cada pausa, uma pergunta deixada no ar.
Estive lá para ver. Para registar. Para guardar essa metamorfose efémera que só a rua permite.
Fotografar arte em movimento não é apenas congelar o instante. É escutar o espaço e traduzi-lo em imagem."
Um profundo agradecimento à direção do festival, pela partilha e confiança ao longo destes anos, a João Tarrafa pelo acompanhamento e a todo público presente que embarcou com entusiasmo e uma boa dose de loucura, nesta viagem pelo mundo da caricatura.

CARICATURE, invaded and brought life to the streets of Aveiro, marking the return of Companhia PIA to the famous “Portuguese Venice,” hosted on July 19th and 20th during the 10th edition of Festival dos Canais.
Above is the photographic record of the performances captured through the very special gaze of photographer João Roldão, who also gifted us with his words: "There was a moment this July when the streets of Aveiro ceased to be mere pathways and became skin. With CARICATURE, @companhiapia returned to the city with a parade that is theater and mirror, laughter and critique, body and metaphor. A performance where caricature does not exaggerate. It reveals. Between acrobatics and grotesque gestures, the audience was swept along with awe and irony through the veins of the historic center. Every corner was a frame. Every pause, a question left hanging in the air. I was there to witness it. To record it. To preserve that fleeting metamorphosis that only the street makes possible. To photograph art in motion is not just to freeze an instant. It is to listen to the space and translate it into image."
A heartfelt thank you to the festival’s direction for their continued trust and collaboration over the years, to João Tarrafa for his support, and to the incredible audience who joined us with enthusiasm — and a good dose of madness — on this journey through the world of caricature.
